Free trade to mean higher pay for execs

Abstract:  The salaries of Canadian business executives should rise by about 35 per cent under free trade, according to Douglas Caldwell, the chairman of Caldwell Partners International, an executive search firm. "Free trade makes it much easier for Canadians to move to the U.S.", said Caldwell. "Canadian companies are upping their salary levels to hang on to their people."
