Abstract: This brochure describes the inner workings of the Vancouver Status of Women organized in 1971 with the chief objective of bringing about changes in legislation and attitude regarding women in our society. VSW supports women's rights in such areas as education, poverty, child care, family planning and counselling, political activity and salary and job opportunity. In addition to a description of the inner workings of VSW, the brochure also includes a list of resources available from VSW, and a "what you can do" section to improve social attitudes toward women at home, at work, in the community and through various VSW membership activities.
