The Center for the Study of Race and Ethnicity in America (CSREA) at Brown University supports collaborative, accessible research, performance, art and scholarship in the Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences on a broad range of issues pertaining to race and ethnicity in America. Keenly focused on historically central racial and ethnic groups in the U.S., the Center also encourages and supports research on indigenous people, new immigrant and racial groups as well as transnational issues. The Center enables the generation of rigorous intellectual work that is accessible to the public and enables community activism.
